MC18 keeps Reimporting my music and changing my tags

I have been using MC since version 10 and this is the first major problem I have ran into. My music which has been tagged and imported in MC18 since the public beta versions seems every few days to reimport the music and re tag my music. Albums that were compilations under (multiple artist) are now split up to the individual artist names. It has happened twice now with me having to restore the library back a few days. When I try to play the files they dont play but they count as being played and recorded as last played. This is becoming a major nuisance and is destroying my tagging schemes not to mention not being able to play anything. Any help would be appreciated

MC won't change your tags unless you tell it to.  There have been problems in the past with WMP and Window Home Server.  See the "Weird Problems" thread linked in my signature to read more.

Are you using any other player with the files? iTunes, for example?

No MC18 is the only media player on my htpc. In fact the files that are in MC18 become unplayable. When you hover over a file that was properly tagged it now says <unknown name>. I just did a restore from a month ago and all seems ok but this has happened before. Will keep a close eye and see if it happens again

Consider enabling logging under the help menu.

That's really strange.  Are the files on a local drive?
