Changing Red October HQ's Subtitles
« on: January 11, 2013, 05:56:52 am »

Hey guys, hoping someone can help.  Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change out Red October HQ's subtitle processor?

I've really come to love MC and how it deals with my media, but how it handles ASS and SSA subtitles is killing me.  Because I watch a lot of anime, I live and die by the subtitle processing a great deal.  In many shows now, how and where a subtitle is displayed can be integral to following along better.  In that regard, both VLC and Media Player Classic HC handle the subtitles much better.

In order to bring that into MC, I've added a LAV Video Decoder, DirectVobSub (a-l version) and Haali Video Renderer rules to Red October HQ.  It works and the subtitles are beautiful, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having Red October HQ and brings me down to Haali instead of MadVR.

Does anyone know if there is any way to get Red October HQ to utilize DirectVobSub for subtitles while using MadVR?
