« on: April 20, 2013, 06:49:20 am »

Hi to everyone, this is my first posting,i'm a compleat novice with anything to do with computers.
My question goes as follows,
I have a netgear rnd4000 readynas nv+2v 4bay nas unit, my compact disc's i've ripped using db poweramp in Flac. I have a Nexus 7 tablet and would like to use 'Gizmo' to control my replay, i have MC18 installed on my laptop.
Now to my question, how can i select and control my music via the Nexus with out having the lap top on at the same time, can this be achieved? if it can please let me know how.

Welcome to Interact.  Please install Gizmo by visiting the Play Store from the browser on your Nexus.

Then read more about Gizmo and about Media Network on our wiki.  Instructions are there.

You need to have JRiver running on your computer in order to run Gizmo and use your nexus 7.

Since you got a NAS though you could use another android DLNA app to do this.
