Media Server & VPN tunnels (without port forwarding)
« on: January 17, 2013, 11:08:26 pm »

I have set up a VPN tunnel to route all my internet traffic through my remote server using OpenVPN GUI. The problem is that my remote server does not allow port forwarding. I'd like to run media server to allow access to my library from other locations but it will not work while my VPN tunnel is running. Rather than turning my VPN tunnel off whenever I leave the house (I'll forget) is there any way to tell Media Server to ignore my VPN tunnel and go through my regular router where I have port forwarding properly set up?

Many thanks,

Can you configure OpenVPN to be bypassed for IP/port combinations?
