Track info plugin when connect to another library.

When I use a laptop as a remote connected to the MC18 library on my media server playing on any zone other than the laptop, I can't select any track info plugins, only cover art. Am I missing something? I understand that visualization wouldn't work but a richer experience than just cover art would be nice.
