MC18/Gizmo PS3 app?
« on: December 08, 2012, 11:34:58 am »

I am a big fan of this software, but i am having problems getting all my videos on my tv.

I primarily use my PS3 for everything, but the way that videos are displayed is horrible, especially when you have over 500 movies like me. Is there a way that i can have theater view on my PS3?

Say, a Gizmo/MC Theater view only app for the PS3?

Are you using 18.0.90?  It's at the top of the MC18 board.

Take a look at Bob's posts on this board for the PS3.

I dont understand what you are trying to say?

I would just like to see a program that is like Gizmo on my PS3, because the way the PS3 lists streaming video sucks.

Theater view on PS3 please!

You can create custom views for DLNA devices like the PS3. But I would not hold my breath for a MC for PS3. There's probably a lot of other OS' to cover first.
With the OS compatibility work being done to MC18, it's not impossible that some kind of version can be ported to PS one day though. I believe however, that OS' like OSx and more popular Linux distros would be the first targets.

The new-style WDTV Live has a nicer video -browsing interface than the original version, so you could set up DLNA views in MC as you wish to browse your movies and have the WDTV display them graphically in a grid - and it costs less than a PS3 or a new PC! Sorry, but I think that's the only way at the moment you'll get a nice UI into MC without using MC itself.
