Auto frame rate wrong
« on: January 28, 2013, 05:56:46 am »

MC17 got it right, MC18 seems to make mistakes. Using tagged mkv blu ray rips I get 50fps not 23.9... as per the file and the tag. Have there been any problems with this?

A reboot seemed to fix this, but then the same problem returned and blu ray mkv movies are playing at 50fps not 23.9xxfps.

Do files need to be tagged with FPS or does MC pick up the frame rate and do an auto switch based on reading the content of the file?

What version of MC are you using?  18.0.126 is at the top of this board.

IIRC the FPS tag is populated at the time of import and the FPS tag needs to be populated in order to work.

If you want a more dynamic refresh rate changing option then you can use the one in MadVR which uses the information from the filters at the time of playback . Occasionally the two systems can have a fight leading to a double refresh rate change, so you're probably better off using one or the other.
