a/v sync adjustment - how for single file?

I want to adjust a/v sync for a single x264 mp4 file.
Thought it would be a no-brainer right click while playing.
Not there and no obvious answer from forum & wiki search.
Am I missing something?
VLC has this and it is easy to adjust while the video is playing.
