Hi - I would like to burn cross-faded / gapless CDs. Here's how I understand the process...

1) Create a playlist of the songs I want on the CD.

2) Select "Disk writer" as the output method.

3) Play the songs and WAV files are created.

4) Import them into MJ

5) Burn the CD

However, my CD writer creates the CD with 2  second gaps. I'm using the regular driver with the CDR drive and the use generic driver is grayed out.

Any suggestions? Am I doing anything wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. Somehow you need to get that 2 second gap thing cleared out, but MJ isn't letting you.

You could always just take the wav's and burn them to CD using Nero or something.

Hi - well I notice a problem with Disk Writer. It doesn't like to write out the last file in the playlist. I had to "kid" MJ into writing this track out by adding another track on the end of the playlist.

Doof - OK. Great advice - thank you. Nero certainly helped and I now have a shiny cross-faded / gapless CD for my wife.

Nero did highlight the issue with my CDR drive though (Matsh!ta UJDA310) - it demands a 2 second gap before the first track. After the first track the following tracks can be gapless. I guess this is why MJ grays out the generic driver option?

Anyway, Nero did a good job of writing the CD and I notice it supports cross-fading / gapless direct from MP3 so it would have prevented my messing around with MJ.
