I think the much improved video player in MJ 8 is GREAT! I quickly discarded the (not so smooth) version in MJ 7 but now with MJ 8, its my video (and music of course) player of choice.
I have my PC set up with sound and TV-out connected to my surround system and big-screen! TV in the living room and I use my IR-cordless mouse as a remote. This way I play all music, radio and video with MJ (I only have a standalone DVD-player, have to get one for the computer!!!).
That said I would like to ask about something.
When watching movies like divx and mpeg’s (and DVD i guess) searching trough the movie is not optimal in MJ or any other player that I’ve tried. So my question: are we going to see any change to that? It would be nice to have MJ handling this more in the way of a standalone DVD-player – searching, with picture, in different speeds 2x, 4x, 8x, etc...?
