Need some help with creating a new list.
« on: February 15, 2013, 06:00:04 pm »

I have 2 questions, I accidentally deleted Music list on the menu, is there any way I can get it back? Secondly, I have tried to create a new library in Video list such as Music Video, but it automatically has all the video files from TV Show and Movie, is there any way I can create a library for Music Video, just like Movie and TV Show, they both are very nice and well done and have separated files.

Thank you for helping

For the second qn..

i normally grab the view closest to what I want, lets say "movies" in your case and drag it onto "Video" in the tree on the left.  It then asks if I want to move or copy, and chose copy.  Then rightclick on this view and choose customize view. Then select ..Set rules for file display...  Then you can change the rule for media_sub_type to music video.  This will limit your display to those video files that satisfy your rule.

Obviously you need to make sure all of what you consider to be "music videos" are tagged accordingly.  This is pretty easy, just select them all and click tag in the lower left action window, scroll down to media subtype.  From which view you select all of the music videos will depend on how organized you have been.  If they are all in a certain directory, the drives and devices explorer could be your friend.

You can Reset your Theater View menus.  This might be the best way for you to get back the stock setup.

Tools > Options > Theater View, and look to the right of Items to Show.  There's a Reset! button.
