Track time and elapsed time on OSD in theater view

Anyone know of a way to get the time of the track and (especially) the elapsed time of the current track to display on the Playing Now OSD? The floating progress "dot" is quaint, but less than useful, especially if you are trying to jump to a specified time index.

Recently when playing a video in theatre mode I have a small "bubble" with time played and time of video appear wherever I click my mouse. It never goes away.
I have no idea how this came to be or how to get rid of it, but your request seems to be what I currently have.
Perhaps if you figure out how to get it to appear, I can figure out how to make it disappear.
