Expression Help: Because Someone Probably Already Has One
« on: February 19, 2013, 06:25:04 pm »

I need a simple expression that I can use in-line in a field =[Expression] to rename a particular field to convert a name:

Louis Armstrong

into

Armstrong, Louis

I imagine that I could do it with one of the list building expression thingys, but I'm not 100% sure how I should go about it.  I do not care if it doesn't recognize things like "Pink Floyd" as I just want to apply this in a targeted fashion, though it would be nice if it could handle three-part names correctly so that John Cougar Mellencamp becomes Mellencamp, John Cougar and not Cougar Mellencamp, John or some other such weirdness.  So, in other words, take the last word from any string, insert it at the beginning, and add a comma.  That's all I need.

So, hit me up.  Who has one for me so I don't have to think?  My brain hurts today.

Awesomesauce.

I knew you'd come though.  I just didn't know you'd do it before I'd asked.
