No PLayback, all of a sudden
« on: February 21, 2013, 11:08:37 pm »

For some reason, I get no playback of files. I click on a file, and the song counter starts at 0:00/?:?? but never moves. This just started happening. any help?
I have been messing with AISO and playback/DSP settings...so i may have done something here...
Thank you.

Welcome to the forums.

Go to Tools/Options/Audio. Select Output mode to direct sound and Output Mode Settings set Device to Primary Sound Driver.

These are the two settings you need to play with to find your preferred settings. Once you get it working, you can try Wasapi-event style for instance.

Many thanks, that did it. I do have another question: I read that to use a DAC with JRiver, Ineeded to install ASIO and select as Output Mode to get the device (Dragonfly) to recognize the different Bit streams. Is this correct? Thanks again. ;D

What does Audioquest recommend?  It would be good to follow their advice.
