Intregating Music Brainz
« on: February 24, 2013, 11:17:13 am »

MC doesn't naively support Music Brainz.

I tried to send 20 files Send To>External to Jaikoz (Music Brainz tagger) and MC sends 20 requests, bogs down MC, and doesn't send anything to Jaikoz.

Other than going folder by folder, or moving untagged material into a unique folder, how do you utilize Music Brainz and MC together?

thanks!

I haven't used Jaikoz in a while, but I used to be able to drag and drop multiple files to it. Drag and drop should work to any application that would support it to/from Windows Explorer.
Using the custom Send To options only allows for one file to be passed at a time (as far as I am aware). Hope this helps.

I simply drag and drop files from MC (can do multiple albums) to MB Picard, cluster and lookup, save, then in MC, right click/Library tools/Update library (from tags).

I learned that Discogs is actually a better lookup source than MB is, so I'm going to test mp3tag with that and see how that works.
