You do know it is still in alpha status !?
And by using it you somehow agree to help developing it more.

And for trying out it is free for a couple of weeks - so I do not see a point why you actually bought it?!

I suspect you are trying to open the license, not the actual program.

The DMG that contains the current version of MC is here on this forum.  Did you download it, open it, and drag the application to your Applications folder?

Or are you trying to open the license they gave you when you made the purchase?

JRiver Media Center for Mac
Overview
JRiver is porting Media Center to Mac (the Apple OSX platform). Learn more below, or purchase early and receive a discount.

Purchase (early bird special)
You can take advantage of the early bird price by purchasing Media Center for Mac now:
Purchase Media Center for Mac now

Our Plan
1. The license for the Mac OSX version will be separate from the Windows version.
2. Initial releases will have a 30 day timeout. There will probably be several of these.
3. The final price will probably be the same as the Windows version ($49.98).
4. The Early Bird price will be $24.98, with no refunds offered, so don't buy it unless you're sure.
5. It probably won't be dependable for daily use for the first 3 months.
6. It will be audio-only for the first year.
The first public preview release is scheduled for February 22, 2013, and will be made available on Interact.

Follow development and learn more on Interact (our forum).

Hi,
First you need to download the file indicated in the link below (MediaCenter18xxx.dmg)
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=78632.msg534739#msg534739

My computer read You cannot use this version of application Media center 18 with Mac OS X.
Then, on what version of Mac OSX are you trying to install the program? What is the model / year of your mac?
The file downloaded above can be used on Intel based mac running Mac OsX Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion.
Thanks.

Sounds like he might be on a PowerPC Mac.

The minimum supported OS is currently 10.7.  It works on 10.6, but is more problematic, though they're working on it.

I don't think there are plans to support anything pre-Snow Leopard.

Ok, that's the most probable reason. Your computer is running an older version of Mac OSX (10.5.8 also known as Leopard). MC Mac cannot run under this system. That's your mac, right: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-2-duo-2.66-aluminum-15-mid-2009-sd-unibody-specs.html

what you are telling me is that I can't install Mc-18 for mac in my computer..
Not exactly. Your mac computer hardware seems to be recent enough (Core 2 Duo, 2009) and has enough Memory (4GB) to run a newer version of Mac OSX up to the current version 10.8 Mountain Lion.
Since the time you got your Mac, Apple has released 3 new versions of the OSX system: 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion) and 10.8 (Mountain Lion) which is the current and most recent one.
Since MC Mac runs only on the latest versions of OSX, you will need to upgrade your system with a newer version of Mac OSX before you can run MC Mac. Check out the following links to help you do the upgrade: (http://www.apple.com/osx/how-to-upgrade/ and https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4431813?start=0&tstart=0).

Hope it helps and let us know how it goes,

Cheers
