New guy here that has been enjoying jriver through the trial period. Will definitely purchase once my trial is up. I imported my itunes library and have been enjoying my PC audio since I got my external DAC 2 weeks ago. Everything I have played from my itunes library has displayed 192khz on my DAC's display. CD's are displaying 44.1.

Went to listen to some 2 ch. music Saturday and opened jriver and got a message saying that only 44.1 was available on tracks that previously were playing at 192.
Tried going into my settings and change it back to 192 with no luck. I am using WASAPI output mode.

Anyone know what the issue is? Thank you..

Are the files actually 192khz (such as from HDTracks) ?

That's what my dac is displaying. My question is why tracks I've listened to before Saturday were displaying 192 now are only displaying 44.1?

I can hear an audible difference.

Are they roughly 50 MB per minute in size ?

None of my music is from HDTracks.
JRiver shows input of 44.1 khz 2 ch. from source input.
Output shows 44.1khz 24bit 2ch. using WASAPI. Where as before output would show 192 khz using WASAPI.
Not sure how to measure the size of track per minute. Put my cursor on a particular track and it showed 10MB.

In JRiver, click tag then show all.
Then tell us the bitrate, sampling frequency and bitdepth of the tracks (those might not be the terms used under Tag, but they should be something similar.

If the tracks are 44.1, why would you want to send them as 192 to the DAC?

AHH, found it. Not sure how, but a setting did get changed in DSP studio. Now shows audio path resampled from 44.1 to 192.
