I imported 10 000+ images to MC and started tagging people, places etc into them. It was fast and simple when I could just check people (or whatever) in the left side pane. However I can not use the checkboxes anymore because they went away. All the people can still be found in the dropdown box, but it's much slower when you have to type in the first letters of each persons name and press enter after each name.

Is there some amount limit on how many people I can have in my pics? I have the same problem with places and most likely I will have the same problem with other categories once their number increases. Is there anything to be done about this? Hope this image explains better than my words...

Edit: I have under 50 people and under 30 places currently.

There's a magic number where list editing switches from showing all values.

This is because a huge list (for example, I have a user library with 30,000+ actors) isn't very useful.

I think the tipping point is 50 or 100 items.

Tried all skins that come with MC17 - no help.

In "people" i had less than 50 but more than 40 when problem occured.

I agree that a huge list isn't very useful, but for example 200 wouldn't be too huge in my opinion. Please?

Is there a similar limit for "keywords"?

Are the same limits in version 18?
