Media Center Won't Import Files from Windows Explorer
« on: March 12, 2013, 09:18:51 pm »

Media Center 16.0.181
Windows 7 SP1 64 bit

I am not able to import mp3 files from Windows Explorer.  They are listed in Explorer as Media Center files.  Shell Integration is enabled. I can open and play these mp3 files with Media Center.  Right clicking on a file gives the option to play the file with Media Center but no option to import it.

I have had Media Center for years and never had a hesitation or a glitch importing files.

Any one have any ideas about this.

Thanks,
Richard

They may have been imported.  Try a search.

Hi Jim,

These new files  had not yet been imported.

I had gone through the MC file associations and file types MPEG (and nearly all the others) were set to YES and Automatic.  Finally I went back there and  re-associated the MPEG file types.  Then I could import them.  Very strange....
