stream recording
« on: March 12, 2013, 09:21:07 pm »

How can I record various audio tracks I'm listening to?
these might come from the internet, from movies  (e.g., recording a few songs from musicals)?

tools/options/audio/advances shows "configure input plug in" but clicking it doesnt do anything.

wikis & FAQs refer to ancient versions of MC

can anyone help?
thanks

My understanding is that recording in MC is currently non-functional after they transitioned off of the windows-specific code base late last year.  I haven't heard any indication of when the feature will be supported again, but the fact that they left it in the menu structure suggests that it will be coming back eventually.

Meanwhile if you really need to record something, it's relatively easy to record in Audacity if you don't mind running JRiver in loopback mode.

OK- happy to try loopback MC/Audacity-   searching wikis & previous discussions turns up a lot of problems - but no instructions as to how to this-
would appreciate a quick walk-through as to just how to do this

thanks
