Sometimes JRiver MC18 changes the value of playback no matter what the tag says (using FLAC). I use album gain because it overcomes replaygain's shortcomings for some songs with quiet to loud passages.
I know I can override these instances by using "My Expressions" because MC 18 doesn't allow manual editing of the replaygain part of the tag. But, two things:
1) Why does the program sometimes randomly decide to override the tag?
2) Why does the program not allow manual input for correction without the "My Expressions" work-around?
