Fixing obscuring Settings highlight

Can anyone suggest what I need to do in a skin (WindowsDozeClassic) to fix this:



?

EDIT: On the Options dialog's menu, the current item highlight is solid black, hence hides the label of the current item.

Surely it must be possible. Noire doesn't suffer this problem.
