Error :Cannot Open Sound Output Device

When i try to burn a cd, it says it cannot open windows media player sound output device. I tried using Ogg Vorbis, and getting all the new input plug ins and decoder plug ins, but i still can't burn a cd. I can play sound, but just not burn.  Please help. Thanks
