Convert SACD.ISO to separate DSF tracks is work, but destination DSF tracks have  wrong name. Track NAME is equal to the ARTIST-ALBUM name, not ARTIST - SONG name.
For example original SACD.ISO file is "Dire Straits - 1982. Love Over Gold.iso"
I select song -INDUSTRIAL DISEASE- and start convert to separate DSF file.
Result.
Converted DSF track name is - Dire Straits - 1982. Love Over Gold.dsf is wrong,
Must be - Dire Straits - 1982. INDUSTRIAL DISEASE.dsf is right!!!

MC team please, correct this.

I'm running into the same issue. Tracks as individual files are named incorrectly. This leads to files being named with numbers (1), (2), etc and eventually skipped tracks (if skip if exist is enabled), failed conversions when using multiple conversions at once.

I didn't know that MC18 could actually convert SACD ISO to separate DSF tracks - I've been using sacd_extract to do it.
I did just import a new album last night which had a similar problem - the artist field was filled with the album name inside MC18.

sacd_extract displayed the metadata correctly in its display, so I have to assume it also tagged the files correctly - but I don't have anything else that will read DSF tags other than MC18, so I can't confirm that.

Please do not use JRiver to convert from SACD ISO to DSF files.  Our converter only processes PCM, which means the SACD ISO is going to go to PCM and back to DSD.

Although both conversions are excellent, you just don't want to do this.

Do you know what sacd_extract is doing? Ripping to DFF goes very quickly with it, so I assume it's just taking the data straight off the disc. However ripping to DSF takes quite a bit longer - is it converting to PCM and then encoding to DSF? (do I have to rip all my discs again? )

I'm not sure, but it's probably getting it right since it's a purpose built tool that only really deals with DSD.

Is there any way to check whether a file has been converted to PCM as an intermediate step? (comparing the results of sacd_extract exporting DFF, DSF, and JRiver's DSF conversion somehow?)

I'm starting to think I should have just ripped to .ISO and left MC to handle them.

If you bitstream during playback, DSD is passed unchanged.  Or you can play as PCM, in which case the DSD is being converted to 64-bit 352kHz PCM.

Yes, assuming you have a 24-bit 192kHz DAC.

Although "Down converting again" makes it sound like something bad is happening and that's not correct.

To get from 2.8MHz 1-bit to 192kHz 24-bit, you would always design cascaded filters that work in steps.  In my opinion, the existing signal path is optimal.

If you disable conversion, the server will serve the DSD file and it will be up to the renderer to handle it.

If you enable conversion to PCM (recommended), MC will convert to high sample rate PCM and serve that.

If your device supports DoP, you will be able to configure MC to send this starting with 18.0.166 (will be available shortly).  This is called DoPE.
