MC ignores DAC when playing movies
« on: April 14, 2013, 08:42:55 pm »

MC 18; w7 64 bit:  "Player" is the desktop speakers plugged into external soundblaster
"DAC" is a psaudio perfect wave II/Bridge hardwired to router

Regular audio plays fine through the DAC.  I click on the DAC in "playing now" and the dac appears in the large white bar on top of the screen.

Movies don't play:  MC shows me the movies; the name appears in the same white bar - but the program freezes.
error message: "there was a problem controlling the selected DLNA device. Double check your device, server, and network settings."  Then "something went wrong with playback"  Arent the settings for dlna the same independent of the source?

I don't get it- why should movies (one was mp4, but other mp4s have played; the other an avi) cause a problem? If I right click the movie, openin MC, and "play" - same thing.

Are there additional settings? The wiki talks about metadata - not important to me. Search on the forum: i didnt see anything helpful
Any ideas? Thanks.
