I recently factory reset my HP computer and reloaded MC 18 and now when I try and use the Rename, Move, Copy feature, MC 18 freezes. The dialog window for that feature never comes up to process the moving of files. I had to use the Task Manager to kill MC 18.
I removed MC18 from my computer again reloaded again and the same thing happened.

Check your settings for File Location.  You may have one or more that point to a non-existent drive.

Disconnect any USB devices.

So tried to go into options to check my file setting and the diolog did not come up and MC18 Froze up again, looks like I have a bigger issue. Any suggestions?

Why did you restore the system software on the computer?

I was having some major bios issues and HP could resolve with a bios updates. The cooling fan was running full speed 99% of the time (and very loud). This was the last resort. Does that answer your question?
