For a whole range of reasons, I switched all my computers to Mac, except my home media server. Believe it or not, the main reason I didn't even consider that was how much I like JRiver.
I never used JRiver on my travel Windows machines because my employer controlled tightly what was installed, and the machines they issued us were short on hard disk space. If I had to listen to MP3, might as well do it from a portable player.
But my Mac has a lot of disk space. And USB3 thumb drives and SD cards give me even more. But no JRiver, I thought... I feared falling back into the clutches of iTunes.
Now that there's JRiver for Mac I can listen to my 24/192 FLAC files on the road... Add in a Dragonfly, and I can listen to Xiomara in 24/192 and forget I'm trapped in a cramped airline seat for five hours with the smell of 200 fellow passengers.
