horrible noise between FLAC and DTS tracks
« on: April 25, 2013, 02:36:51 am »

Hi,

When playing a mixture of tracks, I get about 1-2 seconds of (horrible, loud!) noise during a FLAC to multichannel DTS transition. All is fine with other transitions, such as mp3 -> DTS and DTS -> DTS etc...  Any ideas how to fix this?

Setup: 18.0.171, Win7 machine with AMD Radeon HD 7410M audio over HDMI into a Yamaha receiver, media on a Synology NAS drive (NOT as a DLNA server, simply a network drive). Happy to provide more info if needed....

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem...

Solution was to convert those flac (with DTS embedded inside) files into uncompressed wav files.
Just do it  ;D

The solution is to turn gapless playback on for track changes and seek in the settings. DTS plays fine now :)
