(would have posted this to a 'bug report' board but couldn't find one, nor any previous posts, so...)

 It seems that as of MC18, the player window text ("Track Info" display) will no longer scroll the contents, eg. a track's name in case it exceeds the available width (as most of my video titles do); so I keep pointing the mouse over, but the line remains clipped and won't move.

Any chance to get this little treat back as it was in v.17?

Well, I've only just updated to the latest build (of the software, if that's what you mean)... Also have searched the forum for all words involed ("scroll, track info" etc.) to no avail. Can my posting be moved elsewhere?

I guess JimH was answering your question set in brackets at the beginning of your post So if you're looking for a place to post a bug: it's the thread at the top of this board where you can download the most current build. For today it's this thread.

I'm seeing the same bug as you do. Would indeed be nice to have it scrolling again as it was with MC17.

I see, thanks. Have now reposted this and another related issue under the build info board as ''Bug reports''.
(There aren't too many yet, so I hope the admins won't hate me for it - I promise not to make the west unsafe ;-)

Losing scrolling text was a sacrifice with the switch to the cross-platform UI system.

I'd like to add it back, but it just hasn't made it to the top of the list yet.
