MC18 - Repeating registraton prompts

I've been setting up a new computer and have installed and registered MC18 with a restored license.. the one that's good for two weeks or so. 

I've had to re-register MC18 several times now.  When I launch MC18 it prompts me to register it again telling me my trial license will expire in x days..  I register it and it's good for a few days or until the next time I run it.   I set it up the other day to connect to my MC Library on another system and it was working great.. Today I have to re-register it and get a new restored license.

Windows 8.1 Pro.

How can I fix this?

I've done all that.  I've restored using the mjr file that's generated when I enter my license code and that was successful each time.  I've checked the product and it's registered properly each time.  It just seems to lose the registration.   

I didn't find this problem referenced on the link you provided.

Is the machine name changing?

Is the system date correct?
