1. Can't even find it in 8.0.234, 2. Any chance it will work once again in the next build? Oh, and in this build it doesn't recognise my cd burner, as in previous builds, is that a bug? If so, will it be fixed next build?

I know how to do that, what I'm talkin about, is where are the controls for it? In earlier builds, it was where the settings button is now. Where is it now?

Replay Gain playback controls are part of the playback DSP. From the top of the page announcing availability of 8.0.234:

"Please do not report EQ or DSP problems, these features will be redesigned in next couple of builds.

 Replay gain is still not wokring (sic) in this build.
