Reinstalling 18 with a new sound card
« on: June 16, 2013, 08:34:50 pm »

When my HTPC builder had to replace my motherboard they wiped clean my HD including MC 18, leaving Win 7 and the SSD intact. Initially I mistakenly installed MC 17 on the SSD when it was new. The icon is there but it says it has expired. So now I want to reinstall 18. When it was in the shop I had them install an ESI Juil@ PCIe sound card. It will serve two purposes. One, it'll make convenient connections to my soon to arrive keyboard and two, it will allow an S/Pdif connection to my Meridian speakers for two channel that is problemmatic with Win 7 when your processor is already doing 5.1 HDMI. So,any pearls of wisdom about setting up 18 with that sound card? I'd especially like to hear from anyone who has installed that card with MC.
