Hi,
I think of using a notebook as HTPC with full audio convolving and video playback 1:1.
So I have 2 questions:

1) is MediaCenter 18 able to switch (framerate I know) the output resolution to the used one of the movie (I have an Lumagen Radiance external scaler)?
2) Is it possible to send commands to RS232 (UART) depending of the filename (e.g if the filename is "testmovie dts 1080p 16_9.mkv" to send a command for no cropping to the scaler and if it's "testmovie dts 1080p 2_35.mkv" to send an other command to switch to a croped mode?

This might be  possible... If you made a custom expression that identifies the filename (eg:filename contains 2_35) in combination with zone switch...
I have little experience creating expressions, and haven't played with zone-switch yet...any advanced users care to chime in??
