Disable IR remote control
« on: July 03, 2013, 06:38:30 am »

I am using 18.206 and the software works very fine for music. On my PC I also use Windows Media Center for watching TV. I disabled in JRiver every remote control because I prefer Gizmo for the music control. I tried everything in JRiver but some functions of my IR remote control are redirected to JRiver and not to Windows MCE. In JRiver I disabled all the remote options and deleted the commands but still the Stop buttons and the Volume buttons are send to JRiver. In the past with an older version of JRiver it worked fine.

JRiver is started as a service so it is always active in the background.

Who has a good tip to solve this issue?

I believe you need to close Media Server, but doing so would disable Gizmo...  ?

Have you tried disabling Options > General > Features > Remote Control and restarting MC (and terminating the server)?

I don't have any experience with this, but it might be worth giving a shot.

I tried everything and it looks like a bug. Everything disabled and rebooted. But still JRiver picks up the commands. Only when I complete close JRiver it is working fine.
