Hi,

Where can i find the folders in Osx 10.8 to change the skins off MC18?

Hello, sorry for the late reply.  Skins can be added inside Media Center's package.
Applications > Media Center 18 (show package contents) > Contents > MacOS > Skins
Add your skin to the correct folder, restart media center, and you should find them under the skins menu.  Hope it helps.

Do skins for the windows version also work on Mac?

I've only tried a couple, but yes they should work on Mac.

No worries.  Inside the "Skins" folder you found in Media Center there should be a folder called "Standard View".  Find the "Standard View" folder in the skin you downloaded.  In there should be a folder with the same name as the skin you downloaded.  Take that folder and drag it into Media Center's "Standard View".  Sorry, I'm not very good at explaining it.  Let me know if you need further help.
