Cancelling recording in progress from client

I was watching a recording in progress on the client.  I wanted to cancel it so I selected "Delete" in Theater View since this was the only thing available.  This removed it from the library but looking on the server it was still recording.  I had to cancel the recording on the server but after that I had to manually delete it from disk in Windows Explorer since it was no longer in the library.
