Streaming to IPAD
« on: August 07, 2013, 07:13:25 pm »

Is there a simple way to stream from Windows based server running jriver to an IPAD?  I can use the IPAD as a remote but I keep getting message that safari cannot play file when I try to play file locally.  Thanks for your help.

It does Images fine.  Video requires certain formats (MPEG-4) apparently.  Haven't used it for that.

Take a look at the IPad nPlayer app.  It is not perfect, but the best I have found so far.  When I run the app I select Network then UPnP/DLNA and then I see the JRiver server.  Click that then Movies and you now get all of your movies.  It plays most DVD movies okay with the odd glitch.
