Problems with 2nd zone audio and theater view

Our primary HTPC drives my living room theater system and our patio speakers.  Second zone audio works great as does all media in the living room.  The problem is this, if there is a video on in the living room, and we switch the audio outside for the patio then the living room kicks out of display view and into playing now.  This is obviously rather annoying and I'd like to know if anyone has a fix for it.  I use my wife's android tablet running gizmo as the remote control for the patio.
