How to remove words in a file name?
« on: August 29, 2013, 12:35:34 pm »

Using MC18, I have moved all audio "unknown Artists" into the proper artist folder on my HD. Is there a way to remove the words "unknown artist" from the audio file name without having to do it one file at a time in windows explorer? Thanks!

Select multiple files, right click, Library tools, Rename move and copy files.

You can use the Rename, Move & Copy tool to rename all the selected files based on the tags you have in MC.  If you don't have tags yet in MC, you could use Fill properties from filename to grab the values you've encoded in your path and file names.
