Scroll bars freeze up, occasional pops and ticks and JRemote has trouble seeing the server (started happening on 18.0.214). I have reverted back to 18.0.211 and all is well.

MacMini 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB RAM, OS X 10.8.2

I download the Mac version 18.0.215 Beta -- from the link below and installed.

Very strange it kicks me out in 10 second after I open it.
Please  advise how could I try its trial version before I decide to buy

This is after you have downloaded it and did drag the icon to the desktop.  Then have clicked on it and it created the "Media Center 18" icon....and clicked to open the program?

Start playing an album.

1st track plays fine, then the 2nd track starts and plays ≈1 second then stops playing even though the progress display continues.
The DAC hasn't locked up.

So I stop playing the album and restart it and it again plays fine.

Go figure.

EDIT:  But wait there's more…
7 tracks into the very same album and MC is now doing the 5 sec. happy dance.
Which means in order to 'clear' this error I'll have to re-start the Mac and the router, and since its late, I guess it's time to stop listening for the night.

I tried it, but it made no difference.
