cant burn cds or use media editor in XP
« on: March 15, 2002, 08:42:09 am »

I just upgraded to XP and I'm having trouble.  I want to burn another copy of a cd I made.  I converted the tracks to both wav and wma formats (using Media Jukebox), but when I chose burn with both formats,  I got this message:  TRACK MODE INCOMPATIBLE WITH EXISTING TRACK TYPES.

What does this mean?  So far I haven't been able to  burn a cd.

I was going to use the Roxio CD Creator 5 then to burn the CD, but the same tracks that show 34 seconds left in Media Jukebox (which was where I burned the original) shows up as .1 second overtime in Roxio.  So I decided to edit the wave files in Media Jukebox to trim excess time from the wave files.  When I import a wave file into the Media Editor, it just locks up as soon as I click with my mouse.  I tried a few times and with different files, but it doesn't work.

I'm not having any luck.  Is the program not totally compatible with XP?  If not,are you working on making everything compatible, and if so, how can I become a beta tester?

Thanks.

when using windows XP after you slect the file, do not click on the OPEN button, just hit return

for most Windows XP users this seems to fix the problem.

something is wrong, but not fixed yet
