Is it possible to file rename and convert format at the same time?

Yes - but it might not work for exactly what you want to do. It is done by setting auto-import to watch the folder you are converting to and then applying a new name tag based on your criteria. Let me know if you want help.

It is probably easier to just use Library Tools > Rename, Move & Copy Files after conversion.

Why do you need the name changed? Perhaps there is a better workflow method within JRiver.

What I now do is like you suggested in 2 steps:
1. Convert a Flac folder which is not in my library and bring it into my library
2. then i do the rename under library tools as you suggested.

I know I'm picky and it's easy to do but I was hoping to get this done under one step.  And the same feature could also apply for syncing to a handheld.

Another option that would be nice is to offer to bring the content of a folder like .jpg or .log or txt files into this process.

Just an idea...But this would make me very happy :)
