Q on "Events" field
« on: September 27, 2013, 08:06:46 pm »

Is there anything special about the "Events" Field?  I want to use it to populate what titles I want to buy so I can have a list in Gizmo to check when I'm at the shops on my phone.... but is this field used by MC for other purposes?
Thanks
Nathan

I have a couple of TB of music and not one entry in the Events field in all of it.

For more info, see:

Thanks - I'm just wondering if MC uses the field for something else (so that it may get changed or removed.... as they are all blank)\

Edit - I'm using it for marking videos (say TV Recordings) that I then want to mark the ones I want to buy and rip.

Maybe create a 5-star field and use it to quickly toggle on/off.  Call it To Purchase or To Buy.  Or use Keywords, and add a standard keyword you'll use.

I think I've seen some folks use Events in images, such as Birthday Party, Graduation, etc.

By the way, you can use anchors to specific locations in the Properties page.  Example:
