Full browser capability in MC?

I know MC has the interface built in for its own HTML purposes...but is it fully capable?
Sometimes I like to watch shows from a browser (PBS Nova for example)...it would be really sweet to playback inside MC.
Or maybe this is already possible and I'm missing something...?
