Will MC19 Continue Using Standard Versions of LAV Filters?
« on: October 11, 2013, 03:29:16 pm »

Now that Hendrik is working for JRiver, I was wondering what will happen in regards to LAV filters. Will MC19 continue using standard "off-the-shelf" versions of the LAV filters or will development be branched off and a MC-specific version used instead?

The reason I ask is because I've had to use an outside version of the LAV Video Filter in order to enable DXVA2 support. I could never get MC to enable hardware decoding other than by adding an outside LAV Video to the filter chain and then enabling DXVA2 in the LAV Video settings. So if development of LAV branches, I'm afraid that adding in an outside LAV filter might cause issues.
