8.0.224 Crashing to desktop when trying to play MP3
« on: March 09, 2002, 05:57:08 am »

I have ~350 MP3/WMA files added to my 'Playing Now' section.

If I then click either the Play button, or right click one of the files and select Play the program plays maybe 0.5 seconds of the song then just quits to the desktop.

No error message, nothing. Just closes.

I also just tried clearing the 'Playing Now', went to my Media Library and double clicked one of my songs, same thing happened.

Interestingly enough though, the following DOES work: If I clear 'Playing Now', goto Media Library, and then right click and select Play on a file (instead of double clicking it to play). Maybe that will help track it down.

Any thoughts?

Just to close the loop, the problem was the Visualization bug in 224. Once I turned off visualizations everything worked fine.
