Best workflow for CD ripping and tagging
« on: November 01, 2013, 11:49:58 am »

In past I have ripped my CDs in flac format with EAC (Exact Audio Copy) and tagged with mp3tag. JRiver delivers an own ripping and tagging tool. I would like to rip my CD collection new in wav format. Storage space is no problem not anymore. Using wav format I avoid one format conversion while playing.

For tagging JRiver offers the YADB database which is supposedly smaller than the database of freedb or "Encode Center". Which workflow and tagging database will be best with JRiver?

MC uses both YADB and FreeDB.

You might think about lossless compression so you get the advantage of error detection:
