Menu's don't show at all in this build for me.

After I click a menu and hover over them, I see this repeatedly in the console:

Code: [Select]
Setting focus: 0AA3EC08
Setting focus: 0D9CC5C0
Ignoring Xlib error: error code 8 request code 42
Details: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)

On my stock Debian 7.2 32 bit install I receive the following message when running apt-get update and apt-get upgrade. But MC installs and runs just fine and the font packages are installed.

root@debian:/home# apt-get upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
mediacenter19 : Depends: xfonts-75dpi:all but it is not installable
Depends: xfonts-100dpi:all but it is not installable

E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.

You'll see those on a system even when it's working fine.
Remove your settings  (the .jriver folder in your home directory) and see if there is a change.
Note, you'll lose any library you had...

Operating system: SUSE 12.3 x64

Still not working:

1. The BROWS-buttons won't start the browser
2. the char-set does not allow to enter symbols like "]" or "\" etc at intern. keyboards. The backslash is important when importing windows-libraries and you try to adapt the data passes to the unix
3. none of the skins but NOIRE show the play-buttons.
4. not possible to access the burning device
5. not to many windows have titles
6. File locations can't be edited

new in 19.0.73

7. Window will open delayed
8. right click not working (switched into background)
9. resize is almost impossible
10. window operations causing the window to flicker

It looks like you stepped back several builds.

I don't think any of this worked in earlier builds except perhaps #2. Can you verify this?

This build works WAY better for me regarding menus in Debian Wheezy 32 bit with XFCE.
If you are making a report please put in the following:

Distro and Distro version.
i386 or x64?
Desktop (gnome, kde, xfce, unity, etc)

Thanks.

No change. After removing the settings in the .jriver folder, the menus still don't work.

Ubuntu 13.10
64-bit
Unity

Sorry, no menu's, they appear behind the MC window.

Drop down menu's also appear behind their parent window, but I can move the parent window and see the menu floating free and make a selection.

Linux Mint Debian Edition 201303 64-bit Cinnamon.

Hi Bob,

anything that deals with the "ALT Gr" key won't work

Yep, that's what's happening indeed.

Yep, that's what's happening indeed.
The window bug will be fixed in the next build as well as the xfonts problem.
We're going back to only recommending the xfonts to avoid the platform issues.

Hi Bob,

anything that deals with the "ALT Gr" key won't work

When I try to enter a key using alt-gr into an input box, I get a funky character for the alt-gr press and then the correct character following that. Is that what you see?
