Last.fm offline scrobbling/caching

I just discovered MC19 only scrobbles whilst online. I found an old thread for MC16 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=67371.0) saying it wasn't currently possible to implement this - is this still the case? WOuld love to see this feature.
