I started using the HP MC remote with J River MC17 (I think). However, all I ever use is the remote's
Skip >| button.
Meanwhile, I use a separate gizmo that converts any outbound IR signal to RF on any remote. It sends the RF to a receiver that converts the RF back to IR, thereby providing the ability to control my HT AV receiver (a Yamaha RXA1010) from anywhere around the house—even on the patio. (Interested readers see
www.nextgen.us/NextGen_Remote_Extender_Plus_p/remoteextenderplus.htm.)
On the Yamaha remote, I only use a few of its buttons, and then only to control the AV receiver (not the DVD player or TV). I want to know what the code is for the
Skip >| function so I can assign it to an appropriate button on the Yamaha (RAV448) remote.
Also, any help from readers would be appreciated as, while I'm technically inclined, I've never messed with training remotes.
